THE HISTORY OF BRENDONSHIRE
The history of Brendonshire begins in 1917 when Charles S. Lewis purchased the land in which Brendonshire sits to serve as an annex to his Brendonwood development. He planted maple, oak, ash, walnut, and linden trees to enhance the property. Some of these trees, and many of their descendants, still shade Brendonshire today!
After his death in 1931, the property was held by the Lewis Estate, Inc. owned by the widow and sons of Mr. Lewis. In 1956, the Lewis Estate sold the land to the Brendonshire Company (formerly Kesslerwood Company) and construction of the neighborhood began!
